On 3–14 June 2026, Sydney will come alive with the 73rd Sydney Film Festival.

Sydney Film Festival invite everyone to experience these films with an open mind, to be inspired and sometimes challenged. To engage in the shared joy of cinema.

This year’s Sydney Film Festival are screening four films with full Audio Description.  Two screenings of the fourth film, Joybubbles, will have Open Audio Description.

Give me the Ball!  

The definitive Billie Jean King documentary – revealing her sacrifices and triumphs both off and on the tennis court through interviews and rare archival footage.

Joybubbles  

Born blind, Joybubbles uses his gift for perfect pitch to manipulate the phone system and make free calls in this exuberant, life-affirming documentary.

Retreat  

An all-deaf cast enrich this atmospheric thriller in which a young woman arrives at a remote wellness retreat for Deaf people where nothing is as it seems.

You Look Fine  

In this award-winning documentary, comedian J. Snow records himself with humour and perseverance to capture the unfiltered realities of living with sickle cell disease.
