This four-week group program (Tuesdays, October 13, 20, 27, and November 3) provides a safe, supportive, and engaging space for children who are blind or have low vision to connect with peers across Australia who share similar experiences.
Through games, discussions, and activities, participants will explore:
- Their unique experiences socially, emotionally and with daily tasks
- Challenges they have faced and strategies for overcoming them
- Self-advocacy and independence strategies for school and everyday life
- Interests, ambitions and life skills to match
- Hear from guest speakers who are experts in their field
Led by a Vision Australia Allied Health Professionals, the sessions will help kids develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Who is this for?
This program is for Vision Australia clients aged 9 to 13 living nationwide.
In order to participate, you will need:
- access to Microsoft Teams on a child-friendly device is required
- the ability to sit in front of the screen for one hour without/with support of a parent
- communication skills to understand and contribute to discussion with supports
